They are not messing around in Staffordshire, and the "Operation Impact" moniker is certainly apropo. I feel rather torn about this news item... on the one hand, I am sure that it is pretty darned effective in keeping local motorists' insurance premiums paid. On the other hand... CRUSHING the vehicles without a court hearing seems pretty dramatic. I would be a big fan of a court hearing if they wanted to crush my vehicle and it was some sort of misunderstanding... what about selling the cars at auction and donating the proceeds to charity?
