Thank you for posting this LIMRA survey - I had not seen it. I will tell you that I am not surprised by it. Our company helps small businesses find the right coverage for them and their employees and we have not seen a decline in companies offering insurance benefits to their employees. Most of the terminations of group coverage can be chalked up to attrition. Sadly, we have seen some companies close their doors. Mostly what we have are businesses looking to perhaps re-structure their benefit package to keep their costs manageable. At renewal, if the premiums are slated to go up with their current carrier, we "shop around" looking at different insurance carriers and different plans. To date, we have always been able to design a benefits package that is affordable and gives them the coverage they want.
